ArcGIS Field Maps

allows users to record, edit, and display data on the map in real-time through their smartphones. It also enables users to search for locations of interest and supports tracking of field operators’ positions and routes, enhancing efficiency and facilitating smooth communication between field and office workers by using the same dataset;

ArcGIS QuickCapture

enables cursory collection of large amounts of field data or data that require fast data collection, such as moving vehicles, which are sent back to the office for real-time analysis. It is user-friendly: simply press the “Record” button to record data that will be stored in the database. It can also record readings from devices, such as sea level and vehicle speed.

ArcGIS Survey123

creates, shares, and analyzes surveys by collecting attribute data, such as numbers or texts, through the Smart Survey Form, which can then be converted to GIS data with coordinate values. Data can be collected through web or mobile devices, even without an internet connection. Once data are collected, it can provide quick analysis of the results and allows for safe data uploading.

Drone collection

Aerial capturing devices, such as drones, are used for data collection to create realistic simulations of observed areas, including objects on the surface like buildings, constructions, and the topography of projects. These data are then used to create 3D maps or simulate data layers of the areas. Two main applications are used for this purpose:

ArcGIS Drone2Map

converts drone-captured images using a professional-grade Photogrammetry Suite into professional-level products, such as 2D images or 3D models, that are ready for use or further analysis. These products are then stored in a database.

Site Scan for ArcGIS

which works on a cloud-based, end-to-end system, plans drone data collection flights, processes and analyzes data, and shares results quickly within the business to provide an overview of the entire process and helps save time with measuring and analyzing tools that are ready to use for finding answers from the collected data.

Creating surfaces with height values and lines of altitude, and generating contour lines from elevation spots obtained from site surveys to simulate the terrains in a 3D format.

Analyzing volumes and surface areas of desired areas when adjusting the leveling of project sites and assisting with earthwork, including cut-filling soil, grading project areas, and calculating the volume of soil that has been cut-filled.

Providing preliminary analysis of perspectives when constructing buildings to estimate potential obstructions and evaluate the views.

In many stages of the design and construction process of buildings based on blueprints received from architects or clients, GIS has become involved in the workflow. It plays a role in providing information on geographic data, spatial data, and surrounding contexts. Enhancing Location Capabilities with AutoCAD

There are plug-ins available to assist AutoCAD users working on ArcGIS designs or layouts in incorporating location capabilities. These plug-ins allow users to specify coordinate systems and create GIS schema structures for CAD files, among many other features.

Supporting the Import of Revit Models through ArcGIS Pro

Currently, ArcGIS Pro supports importing models from Autodesk Revit for 3-dimensional analysis and display on real-world surfaces.

Visualize & Collaboration

ArcGIS monitors progress updates of construction projects so that they can be presented once completed using various web pages or applications that display data in different formats, such as dashboards, 2D or 3D visualizations. These data can also be shared with others involved in the projects.

– Collaboration Across Multiple Parties

ArcGIS, which works on a cloud-based system, updates data to the central system so that all parties can have the same updated data without wasting time transferring data between one another. Working together in this way enables tracking of work statuses and immediate notification of errors.

– Sharing Data Design with Stakeholders

ArcGIS Web Application supports the display of both 2D and 3D data. In case of an update to the projects, stakeholders can immediately access the updated designs through a web browser or tablet.

ArcGIS GeoBIM

ArcGIS GeoBIM connects Autodesk’s cloud with Esri’s cloud so that data can be used to create specific applications for the AEC industries. It has various templates for displaying documents and interactive dashboards, which help with asset positioning, expense management, problem and risk monitoring, and tracking project processes.
